PALERMO PHOTO DIARY

A few facts:

1. Even though my trip to Sicily was in March, I still wanted to do a photo diary post since those are my favorites! And I kind of need the inspiration right now. I am very inspired as always but I'm into more basic, subtle stuff these last few months. Lots of changes in my life right now and I always believed that clothes reflect that. As seen above.

2. My trip to Palermo I did at the beginning of last March was for a photography gig for a friend's clothing label I've mentioned before on here just a couple of posts below. I shot her lookbook.

3. My flight had a layover in Milan which is why I have some pictures from Milan too. I actually traveled alone to Sicily, only on the way back to Romania did me and my friend traveled together. Roxi traveled to Iceland the days before our trip and she took a flight via Budapest to Palermo. I thought thas was so fun since we both live in the same town but came on different routes and could tell our adventures to one another while roaming the streets of Palermo. It just made the whole trip more cultural. She also talked about seeing the Aurora Borealis which I now believe that's something everyone should experience.

4. I did not take lots of luggage with me, in fact I had only a couple of basic pieces.
I always travel super light. The reason behind it is that in case of anything (an adventure let's say) I can adapt and enjoy the moment instead of worring about having a lot of stuff to take care of.

5. Also- as I finished my sample tees from my tee collection- I took them straight to Palermo! One is a portrait and one of a landscape from Polignano a Mare, Italy I took on a vintage film camera.

6. A beach we visited around an hour from Palermo ended up being one of my favorite places I've visited so far. I love when I find something outstanding in a small little place you woudn't have expected it. The little city with a beach that I'm talking about is called Cefalù and it's absolutely beautiful in the most simplest ways! The seaside pictures above are from there. You can also search some more images to see some other angles! See here.

7. I now think a road trip around Sicily is a must. I loved the surroundings so much I just kept on starring. Just picture the sea, mountains, hills, the palm trees and lots of different vegetation all in one place!

LEAVING FOR PALERMO

Tomorrow morning at the first hour- leaving for Sicily.
Actually the above photos I recently developed. I took these 2 years ago when I was in Bari, Italy. Took them with my Smena 8M, with dad's vintage camera. I took it to Italy 2 times,Bari and Rome, to London and I think I messed it up ups. Just when I got the hang of it! Otherwise I would have taken it to Palermo too!

So I'll see you again in a few days! Meanwhile stay tuned on my instagram for more live updates!
Fresh content coming soon!

ROME

ROMAN HOLIDAY.
This is part one of my photo diary from Rome. I just noticed that there are a lot of photos from behind. I noticed that when I posed but here I've put them altogether. I had something to edit and also these pictures and time passed so fast and now it's 4am and tomorrow I have a photography gig that I'm excited about! I will surely snap a few pictures of my outfit or of my day but if now, I will post something on Instagram instead so follow along! @simonanutu_
Can't wait to accomplish all the things I put my mind to.
Today, after a few days indoors I went out and bought myself an Urban Decay Naked Palette from Sephora. I spent the weekend literally glued into the screen watching Jaclyn Hill's make-up videos. She's so good and I like her personality. Now I am super inspired and I'm into experimenting with make-up everyday more and more.
Anyways, I will share some more photos from my time in Rome. I hope you like them. I usually snap pictures with my phone but also have my camera with me. Always.
Love, S.

sleepless lunatic

Ok! I need to know if there are is another lunatic out there.
I sleep for 2-3 hours before taking a school assignment and study all night to morning. Or sometimes I skip that. Then today specifically-here I am at 6am having 2000980977945300345304 multiplied ten times windows open on my laptop. Ok so something so so wrong. I do this for a period of 3 years now I guess.

I stumbled upon World of Wanderlust's article about the book Paris Letters, then I checked her YouTube account about different issues. Open a few blogger windows with their latest posts that came in my blogger feed.
Then stumbled upon this motivational video Les Brown - You Gotta be Hungry  that Madison Dube posted on Facebook. So here I am trying to figure out my next steps into photography and lay down my future plans. Both personally and business wise.
I also forgot to mention the bath I took after I woke up at midnight. And then I continued with ab series that I do on Reggaetton music. That's my thing, let it go. It sets me in the best possible mood. Question: Can you feel sad on a Reggaeton song? NO! That can never happen. ( I know I'm exaggerating; but maybe not!?? What's your opinion on this?)

And now I'm left with the feeling of what should I do next now. I'm having a strong case of not being able to do the things I need/must do. I can't find the motivation. The explanation: I want to travel the world, read, write, photograph my way of feeling and seeing things and then know if that heavy feeling of hopelessness that all artistic people fell will then disappear. It's been two weeks now but if I put something pretty on, put on lipstick even if I'm in my pj's or put on a song, it all vanishes. But it then comes around again. It's an ongoing process.

no need to overthink

10 copy2

One major thing about my trip to Italy is that I needed to stop overthinking everything. And that is why I was happy for the entire trip and also because it was in a weekend and in between events and exams and stuff. For my entire life I've kept putting rocks in my way, but with this no overthinking process-there's a light at the end of the tunnel. It's such glory in stopping your ugly thoughts.

Glad I did not edit all pictures from my trip to Bari since because of the limited amount of free time I could still update when in need of a break.
